B.S. in Economics
My summer internship at Praxair led to a full-time position in Government Relations. Very early on in my career, I was given the opportunity to step into my supervisor’s role and run the department. One of the highlights of that opportunity involved the preparation and presentation of the annual government relations strategy to the Praxair Board of Directors, in New York City. After the conclusion of the meeting, I received valuable one-on-one feedback from several senior executives that help guide me to this day. This type of access to high-level executives is not unusual here. Most of the senior leadership at Praxair has been with the business for over 25 years and they are just as invested in your career as they are in their own.
There are plenty of opportunities to use your skills, intelligence and creativity to control your own career path. I currently manage the on-site business development department in Moscow, Russia. I don’t think I could have risen to a job like this so quickly in any other company, but that’s the way it works at Praxair. You can go as far as you’re capable of going. No one is holding you back.
