Praxair Equal Employment Opportunity Policy

Statement of policy

Praxair is committed to maintaining a work environment free from all forms of unlawful discrimination and harassment. Praxair prohibits discrimination against any applicant or employee on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other reason prohibited by applicable law.

Praxair also prohibits any form of retaliation against any individual for reporting what he or she reasonably believes to be discrimination, or for filing a complaint with a government agency, or testifying, assisting or participating in any manner in any investigation, proceeding or hearing conducted by a government agency.

In addition, as a federal government contractor, Praxair maintains affirmative action policies and programs for qualified minorities, women, covered veterans, and individuals with disabilities in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. 

Complaint Procedure 

Any employee who believes they have witnessed or been subjected to discrimination by the company must immediately report the incident, preferably in writing, to a Human Resources Manager, the head of Human Resources for their business unit, Praxair’s Vice-President of Human Resources, or the Praxair Integrity Hotline. If any further incident of discrimination occurs, that incident must also be immediately reported.

Consequences for Violation of this Policy 

In the event of a violation of this policy, Praxair is committed to taking appropriate corrective action. Depending on the circumstances, this may include discipline up to and including immediate termination from employment.
