Dick Marini was appointed president of Praxair Distribution, Inc. in 2016. He is responsible for the growth, profitability and return on capital of Praxair’s packaged-gases business in the U.S.
Marini joined Praxair in 1981 as an engineering trainee. He has held numerous positions prior to his current role leading packaged gases in Canada, including vice president of operations for Praxair Canada and vice president of operations for PDI when the U.S. and Canada operated as one business. He was also vice president of PDI’s northwest region.
Marini holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Toronto and a master’s degree in business administration from York University.
