In 2014, Pierre Lüthi was named president of Praxair Surface Technologies, Inc., the company’s global high-performance surface coatings business.
In 2010, Lüthi was named vice president of Praxair Surface Technologies Coating Services, responsible for both European and Asian operations. In 2008, Lüthi served as vice president of the Americas and prior to that as vice president of Europe from 2001 to 2007.
Lüthi joined Praxair Surface Technologies in 1987 as a development engineer and has held a wide variety of operations and sales support roles.
A native of France, Lüthi holds an engineering degree from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Métiers (ENSAM) in Paris. He has participated in the management training program at the University of Chicago and is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt.
