Praxair in Italy

In the 1980s, Praxair acquired a majority share of Rivoira and a minority share of SIAD, two of Italy's most important industrial gas companies, both founded at the beginning of the 20th century.

Rivoira S.p.A. and SIAD S.p.A. operate throughout Italy with 54 sales offices, 23 production facilities and filling stations, and a network of distributors.

The two companies serve customers in Italy with:

	»	advanced air separation plants
	»	supply systems

SIAD-affiliated companies also operate in Eastern Europe. SIAD Macchine Impianti S.p.A. designs and constructs air separation plants and reciprocating compressors for Italy and markets them worldwide.

In 1996 Rivoira and SIAD founded Medigas Italia S.r.l., the first focused Italian homecare provider, offering a wide range of high quality products using modern technologies.
