Design Praxair can design a small or large renovation, upgrade, or expansion project based on your current needs. We comply with the pertinent standards of the following organizations as well as with state and local codes: Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA); The Joint Commission; National Fire Protection Association (NFPA); Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS); and Medical Gas Professional Healthcare Organization (MGPHO). Installation and construction Once the design is approved, we can provide a turnkey system service. Praxair Healthcare Services can procure and install all source and pipeline equipment including compressors, vacuum pumps, manifolds, valves, outlets, and master and local alarms. Praxair is uniquely qualified to offer health care providers a total system solution, from gas source supply through distribution to the point of use. As a distributor for the major manufacturers, we sell and service most brands and models. Our turnkey systems approach reduces your administrative burden and frees your staff to focus on their core business. We coordinate with inspectors, electricians, plumbers, and other subcontractors to ensure that your project is completed on time, within budget, and according to the specifications.Shutdown management Before your new system can be tied into existing piping, plans must be made to ensure safe and reliable backup of gas and vacuum delivery to the patients in the affected area. We provide temporary sources of gas and vacuum during shutdown periods. Our program includes a needs analysis to assess equipment requirements, gas usage, and supply. In addition, we coordinate with appropriate departments within your facility so that all patient care requirements are addressed. The result: less stress and greater peace of mind during medical gas shutdowns. Certification New medical and vacuum gas systems must be installed and certified in accordance with NFPA, The Joint Commission and state guidelines. Our verifiers are certified by Piping Industry and Progress Education (PIPE). Praxair can provide the required Phase I and Phase II certification inspections. In Phase I, leaks, cross connections, proper labeling, alarms, valves, manifolds, and outlets are verified with test gas. In Phase II, the new system is connected and re-tested for flow, purity, pressure, and cross connections, after which we issue final certification. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
