Sulfur Hexafluoride Overview
Sulfur Hexafluoride (SF6) is a colorless, odorless, nonflammable, liquified gas used as a dielectric in transformers and as a blanketing agent in metal fabrication.
In semiconductor fabrication, it is a fluorine source for high density plasma etching and offers high selectivity without generating carbon by-products.
Through an exclusive distribution agreement, Praxair stocks and distributes Honeywell's AccuDri® Sulfur Hexafluoride in the U.S. and Canada. Additionally, Praxair features a full array of supportive products, expert technical assistance and SF6 delivery system assistance to help our customers get the most out of their SF6 gas.
