Praxair, Inc. Launches New Website for Helium

DANBURY, Conn., April 11, 2003 — Praxair, Inc. (NYSE: PX) announced today that it has launched a new area on the company's website focused on helium and its wide variety of uses in a number of markets around the world, including aerospace, welding, leak detection, MRI/NMR, and fiber optics. In addition, Praxair's helium recovery and conservation technologies are highlighted and customers can get access to a free recovery cost analysis. Praxair's web-based approach to the helium industry is to provide visitors with up-to-date information and provide an opportunity to evaluate their needs for helium gas and the associated Praxair technologies. The new site has been greatly expanded to cover important processes organized by individual markets allowing the visitor to access current applications, services, equipment and helium gas sourcing locations that meet their needs. In addition to a wide spectrum of applications, the new site allows the user to provide information on expected usage and volume to expedite a detailed response from Praxair’s helium experts.
